"Technology’s promise to keep us connected has given rise to a host of unintended consequences that are catching up with us" - www.socialdilemma.com
Recently, I watched an eye opening documentary on Netflix called The Social Dilemma. The film discusses the dangerous human impact of social networking and the effects it is having on our society. If you or anyone you know uses social media, I highly recommend that you watch this film. I have attached the link below:

Did you know:
A 5,000 person study found that higher social media use correlated with self-reported declines in mental and physical health and life satisfaction. American Journal of Epidemiology, 2017
Persuasive design techniques like push notifications and the endless scroll of your newsfeed have created a feedback loop that keeps us glued to our devices. (found on www.socialdilemma.com)
I highly recommend turning off all notifications on your phone. To do this on an iPhone go to settings --> notifications-> and click on the app you would like to turn off notifications for. If you want to see how much time you are spending on your phone go to Settings--> screen time. From here you can also set downtime and choose app limits.
